Question

If I take the Vaginal Ring out during the active cycle, how long can I leave it out before I lose my contraceptive cover?

Answer

Removing the ring is not recommended during the active cycle. If it is, it should be reinserted within three hours to maintain protection from pregnancy.

If the ring has been removed for more than three hours, you can use condoms for sex for the next seven days until you regain contraceptive cover.

If unprotected sex has occurred in this time, the Emergency Contraceptive Pill is available over the counter at many pharmacies.
