FAQs

Question

If I have my contraceptive injection (Depo Provera®/Depo Ralovera®) early will it stop the bleeding? I had an injection ten weeks ago. My periods stopped after the injection but in the last week I have had vaginal bleeding every day. Is there anything I can do about this?

Answer

Women sometimes get spotting near the end of their 12-week contraceptive injection (Depo Provera®/Depo Ralovera®) cycle.

An early injection may help stop this bleeding from occurring.

You will need to have a check-up with your doctor first to make sure there is no other reason for the bleeding.
