FAQsQuestionI have one breast bigger than the other... can you help me? Answer Most women have one breast that is a slightly bigger or smaller than the other or slightly different in some other way. We aren't perfectly symmetrical through the rest of our bodies either - our faces are often a little different one side to the other and the other parts of our body can be the same way. Even one kidney can be different from the other and there is no problem. So don't believe all you see in the fashion magazines - they often use air brushing techniques on photos to make their models appear "perfect". If your breasts have always been this way for years and they haven't changed since they grew at adolescence, there is no problem. What you need to look for are any unusual changes in the way your breasts look or feel, especially if only one breast has changed. This is apart from the normal changes women often find in their breasts throughout their menstrual cycle. As you know some women's breasts get bigger and more tender and/or lumpy before their periods, but then settle down after they have bled until before their next period. This is quite normal of course. If you have any unusual pain, puckering, dimpling or orange-peel looking skin, or any discharge from the nipple, you should also see your doctor.
