Volunteers required for study of treatments for problem bleeding with Implanon

Summary Volunteers required for study of treatments for problem bleeding with Implanon.

The aim of this study is to compare three different and promising treatments with a placebo, in women who are using Implanon for contraception and are having either too frequent or prolonged bleeding, or a combination of both.

Who can participate

If you are aged between 18 and 45 and have been using Implanon as a contraceptive for a minimum of three months and are experiencing too frequent bleeds, prolonged bleeding or a combination of both.

We plan to enrol 200 women in the study with 50 women assigned to each of the four treatment groups. At the end of the study we will assess which of the treatments is most effective in controlling bleeding and conduct a larger more detailed investigation of its effectiveness. FULLY RECRUITED
