Implanon acceptability study Phase 1
Summary Implanon is a new sub-dermal contraceptive method not previously available in Australia. There are no Australian data regarding the acceptance of such a method by Australian women. This study will survey women at the time of insertion of the device, three and twelve months after the insertion to determine the users experience and like or dislike of the method, continuation rates and bleeding patterns. A nested study will explore the consistency of information provided by women over time by repeating questions about previous contraceptive use. The study will be carried out at Family Planning NSW clinic but also with other medical practitioners who have expressed interest.Contact phone (02) 8752 4350
