The Family Planning NSW Warehouse 21st Birthday Celebrations!
Date 11 August 2008
There are many ways to celebrate a 21st Birthday, but The Warehouse Youth Health Centre decided the best and most relevant way to celebrate 21 years of service would be hosting a Youth Health Conference.
From the beginning of its 21 years of service The Warehouse Youth Health Centre got its name originally by being located in an old carpet warehouse. The Warehouse has moved on and grown and is now located at 13 Reserve Street Penrith and now extends their assistance to young people in Richmond and provides an outreach clinic every Wednesday afternoon at 108 March Street Richmond.
The Warehouse Youth Health service is provided to young people aged 12-24 in the local areas of Penrith, Hawkesbury and Blue Mountains. The Warehouse offers services such as Pap tests, information on contraception and sexuality, and more recently offering the Gardisil and Hepatitis B vaccines provided by doctors and nurses that work with young people in regards to their reproductive and sexual health.
'Over the 21 years of service The Warehouse has been supported by many staff and young people and by holding a Youth Health Conference we can celebrate our 21st Birthday with colleagues, friends and young people' says Michelle Horner, Manager of The Warehouse.
The Youth Health Conference will cover relevant topics and includes presentations from Professor David Bennett, Dolly Doctor Melissa Kang, Peter Slattery, Anthony Stralow and Michael DePercy on Thursday 25th September at The Sebel Resort in Windsor.
