Dr Edith Weisberg - MBBS(Syd) MM(Syd) FACSHP
Dr Edith Weisberg is the Director of Research at Family Planning NSW. Edith is an acknowledged leader in the field of Women's Health and Contraception and is a member of the International Medical Advisory Panel of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).
Edith is happy to present to groups on such topics as:

- Cervical Screening and National guidelines for the management of cervical abnormalities

Dr Christine Read - MBBS(Syd)ThA FAChSHM
Dr Christine Read is a sexual health physician and Medical Director at Family Planning NSW. Dr Read has a special interest in the delivery of reproductive and sexual health care services to rural, indigenous and older women, and has also written books for lay audiences, including 'Depression, Lifting the Cloud,' 'When Love Hurts' and 'Doctor I'm Tired'.

- Physiology of the Menopause
- Fertility in the Older Woman
- Menopause and Hormone Replacement Therapy
- Providing reproductive and sexual health services to rural and Indigenous women
- New contraceptive methods
- Issues around abortion and unplanned pregnancy
Dr Deborah Bateson - MB BS, MA (Oxon). MSc (LSHTM)
Dr Deborah Bateson is Senior Medical Coordinator at Family Planning NSW and has worked there since 1996. Deborah started life as a biochemist then did a Masters degree at the London School of Hygiene in Tropical Nutrition before working in Tanzania and Southern Sudan. She graduated in Medicine in 1994 from Hong Kong University and joined Family Planning after spending her junior hospital terms and a few years in the Emergency Department at St Vincent's Hospital in Darlinghurst, Sydney. Deborah has been an investigator on many clinical studies including a Population Council trial of a long-duration contraceptive vaginal ring, testosterone trials for women with loss of libido and an HPV genotyping study in Indigenous and non-Indigenous women. Her current research interests include a study looking at continuation rates of the oral contraceptive pill and a collaborative study with the linguistics department at UTS looking at communication in the sexual and reproductive health setting.
Dr Bateson practices clinically in the Ashfield and Dubbo family planning clinics and is involved in the training of health professionals.
